This is so good that we’ve been twice – Game Night at West Egg. Every Thursday night, West Egg cranks down the volume of business (which I’m sure they hate but we love) and they load up their large table in the front with games. The kitchen gets all creative and makes a different grilled cheese every week – I had bacon jam and pimento cheese and OMG it was sinful! Pictured below is what I noshed on the first time we went – their famous PB&J where the ‘B’ stands for burger and the ‘P’ does not stand for peanut but rather pimento cheese. Highly recommend it and the mac and cheese!
If you have kids (or your date does), this is alllll you! Tuesday night is family date night at Vino Venue in Dunwoody. You’d never know this place was so great until you go in there. Located at the end of a shopping center, it’s truly a gem with it’s rustic but still classy decor. You can taste wines from all over the country, sit at the bar and order a beer or stay and have dinner. This place really has it all.
So here’s the scoop on Family Date Night:
Parents, calmly enjoy your time in the dining room while your children are in our event room eating pasta and making/decorating cookies!
There is NO charge for the children! We ask that the children please be ages 5 and over, and the time frame for joining us is from 5 – 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25th.

I’m here to help you and make you look good. Get your Groupon for a fantastic date night at park – SkyView! For dinner before, try Park Bar – great burgers, good drinks and amazing location! I tried to be healthy when we went and ordered a chicken sandwich while my date ordered a burger. After tasting his, I wish I had ordered a burger. My sandwich was good, but his was one of the best burgers I have ever tasted! After your burger enjoy the night views if the city and chocolates.
<Insert theme music for Jaws> It’s almost here – Valentine’s Day is a week away. AAAAaaaaaahhhhhhHHH!
No but seriously. Go make a reservation or buy those tickets or book that weekend stay. NOW!
I will post a few Valentine’s Date Night ideas between now and the 12th (because let’s face it, after the 12th you might as well plan a romantic dinner at home and a coupon book for good deeds you probably should already be doing for her).
Date night idea #1:
Does your girl like live music? Well do I have the date night for you: Chris Cauley at Eddie’s Attic. Chris performs regularly at Buckhead church if you want to sample beforehand. And it should be all super romantic because his better half is supposed to be there as well so I’m sure there will be some songs to her.
Dinner at Iberian Pig is a must and right around the corner – literally.
After Valentine’s Day is New Years Eve on the list of hardest dates to create. Fear not. We are here to help.
The most fun I ever had on a New Year’s Eve was when I wasn’t herding cats in a big group. It was me and my date at an open bar party at Maggiano’s. No one else to worry about or manage or babysit. So my tip for this date: Just plan something for you and your better half that suits both of your personalities and don’t try to go to everything or make a big group ordeal of it.
I think a night time view of the city would be so romantic from the new Ferris wheel – SkyView. Couple that with a yummy dinner before and you have yourself a night. Park Bar is walking distance and has amazing food and a great selection of drinks. I’d recommend the Hot Mess or Scotsdale Chicken – both VERY tasty!
Tip: SkyView is open until 1:00 a.m. for New Years Eve only so you could go after dinner just keep in mind that cabs are hard to come by this night.
Looking for an out-of-the-box meal with International flare? Try the Iberian Pig (Spanish cuisine) in Decatur or Cardamom Hill (Indian fare) on Northside Dr. Check out this write up on Cardamom in The Globe and Mail.
The two most important things to remember when planning this evening: make reservations and don’t drink and drive.
Warning: This one is full price but sooooo worth it!
Bye-bye Nava. Helllooooo King and Duke! I’ll keep this one short and simple because in my heart of hearts I believe that less really is more (for most things at least).
Enjoy a special five-course tasting menu and
